About this casting
Each tap draws one line using the conventional yarrow-stalk probabilities: 6 (changing yin) 1/16, 7 (yang) 5/16, 8 (yin) 7/16, and 9 (changing yang) 3/16. This is a short digital casting with yarrow odds; the physical stalk-counting ritual takes three divisions per line.
Randomness comes from your browser. Your question does not influence the draw. Lines are fixed as you cast them, from the bottom upward. A changing line turns into its opposite to form the relating hexagram.
The reading uses James Legge’s public-domain translation, first published in 1882. Its language is of its time. The text is offered as something to reflect with. Text sources and attribution.
